  • W - graphic research (Photo & Illustration)

Some visual sketches based on the [W] letter designed for the identity of one of our client.
We always try to explore the capacity of a basic letter to communicate beyond its shape.

  • QB1 visual environment exploration (2) (Client News)

Following the first post on QB1, here are some images of the visual exploration.

  • QB1 visual environment exploration (Client News)

QB1, a new robot/computer/jukebox developed at the Epfl by Frédéric Kaplan (AI engineer) and Martino d'Esposito (industrial designer) want to explore the new possibilities of interface interaction. No mouse, no keyboard but gestures and a screen that follows your moves. B&B was asked to develop a visual environment and exploration for this new being. We focused on working on waves, connexion and movement first. A series of poster and a video clip has been made to surround the robot presentation at lift09. A logotype was also designed based on the multi-faceted object (www.ozwe.com). The adventure continues and we will work more in depth on the interface itself and making the visual environment more and more consistent.

  • Bread and Butter special project at lift09: the fanzine (BB News)

Making a fanzine to cover the conference topics and discussions was an idea tested during last year's lift.
And it was clearly a failure in term of consistency and content. The only good side was to validate the design and the production process. This year, we really wanted to make it a better experience for the audience and for us. Thanks to our sponsor (Infotec and Age du soft) and the help of allthecontent.com, we managed to publish 4 editions (Thursday am/pm, Friday am/pm) of a much more consistent and focused newsletter.

Our hope is that some of the great discussions that happened at lift conference will not only stay in the air but will stay also in the hands of the lifter in the train/plane back home and help digest the load of information'

The issues are available for download here and will be also soon uploaded on walabab.com website.
